HALF A SIXPENCE at the Noel Coward Theatre

May 8, 2017

Chichester Festival Theatre with Cameron Mackintosh have an excellent record of transferring new productions of classic musicals into the West End. Their HALF A SIXPENCE at the Noel Coward Theatre is easily the best so far. I would go so far to say it is the best musical playing in the West End today. There isn’t a single aspect of this lovingly crafted production which is not perfect. It has that flowing stage energy when all of the aspects of a production combine to wow an audience. In the middle of this cocktail emerges an incredible young actor Charlie Stemp who delights us with his dance moves, his singing voice, his comic timing and sheer charm. Charlie Stemp is definitely someone to watch out for.
