AMERICAN BUFFALO at the Wyndham’s Theatre

June 9, 2015

I am really sorry to say that David Mamet’s AMERICAN BUFFALO at the Wyndham’s Theatre was boring. Very boring. David Mamet writes plays for the rythymn and sound of the dialogue more than plot. Basically there really wasn’t much of a plot. It was an encounter of three characters and there wasn’t much more to it.

I loved seeing Damien Lewis but he seemed to be miscast. John Goodman played John Goodman. Tom Sturridge was the best performance and his character Bob was at least interesting. I think I am going to give up on David Mamet as just not my cup of tea!
