James Graham’s new play THE ANGRY BRIGADE approaches the true story of a terrorist organisation of young anarchists operating in London in the late 60’s and early 70’s from two opposite sides. One Act is the Branch, set in Scotland Yard exploring the investigation by the police. The other act is the Brigade, set at the house where the gang are hiding out exploring their activities. It is the same story from the two perspectives with the four main characters in each Act played by the same actors.

And very interesting it is. Lots to think about both during the play and after. Very impressed with the cast: Harry Melling, Felix Scott, Patsy Ferran and Scarlett Alice-Johnson. This is a low cost production and it felt very raw which added to the reality. Warwick Arts Centre Theatre really does programme challenging work. Excellent.
