LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST was the BEST night out at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre since Gregory Doran was appointed its Artistic Director in 2012. I was beginning to lose hope and then Christopher Luscombe directs this production that felt fresh and full of energy. This play really is an absolute romp and had the audience laughing out loud, cheering and clapping.

The SET designed by Simon Higlett was amazing and the best use of the main theatre I have seen to date. This is a great play but what really makes the difference at the RSC is when the ensemble is as strong as this cast. The icing on the cake is a truly sparkling comic performance by Edward Bennett.
