THE COLBY SISTERS at the Tricycle

July 11, 2014

THE COLBY SISTERS at the Tricycle in Kilburn is a new play by Adam Bock. A play written specifically with the idea of giving the stage over to women for a change. A glimpse into the life of New York’s Society families through the dynamics and interactions of five Sisters in one family. A posh “Sex in the City”. I was gradually drawn into the drama of their superfluous existence and we get to know them all quite well. The characters are particularly interesting from a psychological and sociological perspective within the context of the play although I am not sure I was totally convinced as to their authenticity. Great performances from Ronke Adekoluejo, Isabella Calthorpe, Clair Forlani, Charlotte Parry, Patricia Potter and Alice Sanders.
