LORD OF THE FLIES at Birmingham Hippodrome

June 22, 2014

Mathew Bourne and Scott Ambler’s LORD OF THE FLIES at the Birmingham Hippodrome was refreshingly exhilarating. A real achievement in story telling through dance, design and music. I haven’t read this book since I was a teenager but the imagery flooded my mind with memories of encountering this powerful story for the first time. The performances were remarkable in this stand out production. The standing ovation from a very enthusiastic audience was justly deserved.

  1. You are so lucky- I’m dying to see this. Have you seen Bourne’s ‘Edward Scissorhands’? It’s one of the best performances I’ve witnessed.
