THE PAJAMA GAME at the Shaftesbury Theatre

June 22, 2014

What a fabulous Broadway musical comedy. Full of colour. Full of great songs. Full of positive energy. I was practically skipping out of the Shaftesbury Theatre after my matinee of THE PAJAMA GAME. Richard Eyre has created a real breath of fresh air in the West End from the Richard Adler and Jerry Ross 1954 Broadway classic. This is an incredibly well constructed musical comedy.

Joanna Riding is wonderful as the leading lady Babe. She can dance, act and has one of the most incredible singing voices in the West End. Dan Burton played the leading man Sid at our performance and he too has a beautiful voice. They make a great leading couple. This show is packed with great supporting roles played by an excellent supporting cast. I particularly loved Claire Manchin’s Mabel.

What refreshingly good entertainment.
