Our Country’s Good

March 7, 2013

There is a line in “Our Country’s Good” how an audience needs to be patient, imaginative and work. That says it all about this very interesting story of the first colony of convicts in Australia mounting a production of “The Recruiting Officer” and cleverly presents the argument that “art” improves us all. An excellent cast creates some very believable characters but you do need to work as an audience to appreciate the depths of this story.
