Victor/Victoria

March 6, 2013

Anna Francolini, Richard Dempsey and Mathew Cutts are absolutely wonderful with a great supporting cast and chorus in the Southwark Playhouse production of Victor/Victoria. We were sitting at one of the tables in this very inclusive Paris Cabaret Night Club set which involves the audience as part of the action. The atmosphere was thrilling during the production numbers with “Le Jazz Hot” my favourite. The story was gripping throughout the intimate scenes and the drama played out spectacularly in “Living in The Shadows” which resonated deeply with my own story. We LOVE this show and the SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE.

The venue is unfortunately closing in January due to the development of London bridge Station. They do have a temporary home nearby in Newington Causeway and in part thanks to the campaigning efforts of Stephen Fry the theatre has a long lease on a new home within the new London Bridge Station development.
