Hello Dolly

March 6, 2013

I loved Janie Dee in last year’s Curve Production of “The King and I” and earlier this year as the uptight upper class editor in The Royal Court’s “NSFW”. As soon as I saw she was starring in “Hello Dolly” at the Curve in Leicester I booked for Lizzie Spooner and I. We both LOVED her. She was fabulous and full of an infectious incredible energy which brought this show alive.

“Hello Dolly” has great songs, great dance routines and plenty of Broadway comedy. Michael Xavier plays a great Cornelius Hackl and Dale Rapley is excellent as Horace Vandergelder. Kerry Washington sings beautifully as Ernestina. All wrapped together by an enthusiastic chorus with brilliantly executed choreography by David Needham. This show is full of positive energy.
